About our school

Wattle Flat School is a small school located in the rural village of Wattle Flat, NSW. It was first established in 1858 to provide education for children of gold mining families.

At Wattle Flat Public School we strive for excellence. The Wattle Flat community is very proud and supportive of our school.  Our students pride themselves in being safe, respectful learners.

It currently has one class with students ranging from K - 6. The small class enables students with a more individual learning program and evokes a caring family attitude. In this supportive environment the school provides children with educational experiences founded on basic skills that will challenge each child to develop to the best of their ability.

Students are given a range of opportunities to participate in sporting, cultural and academic events throughout the year as a means of broadening their horizons intellectually, physically and socially.

Our well resourced school provides many opportunities for students to use technology and to participate in community activities.

We strive to provide students with varied experiences and opportunities to help increase their confidence, self esteem and ability to perform in any situation.
